DPSF Launches a new Teacher Leadership Academy

We are proud to announce launch of the DPSF Teacher Leadership Academy, developed specifically for Durham Public School classroom teachers.

The inaugural cohort of twenty teachers will meet one school day per month beginning September, 2019 and ending May, 2020. Participating teachers will:

• Gain skills designed to enhance their individual teaching practices.

• Meet and cultivate professional relationships with elected officials and other community leaders

• Develop leadership skills to support their efforts in making even bigger impacts within their schools and the surrounding community.

Our goal is to strengthen the role of the teacher and empower teachers to become decision-makers and change agents beyond their classroom walls.
